You don't have to take pain lying down.
There are other simple things you can do
to help minimize menstrual cramps and keep
enjoying a full, active life.
- Soothe lower abdomen with a warm hot water
bottle or heating pad to help relax muscles in spasm. - Pamper yourself with a warm bath. It may serve to open the
cervix, which can relieve cramps. (P.S. There is no danger in bathing during your period. But don't wear a tampon when you bathe.) - Avoid wearing tampons when your cramps are most severe.
- Get moving! Exercise releases natural brain opiates that are your own built-in pain relievers.
