Basically, puberty is the time when your body matures
reproductively and you eventually get your period. You go
through a number of changes aside from just the physical
ones including hormonal, emotional, and sexual changes.
But don't worry, everyone goes through all this crazy stuff!
Some people say puberty is when girls become women
and boys become men.
- Girls tend to mature earlier, between the ages of 9 and 16.
- Boys, on the other hand, begin puberty sometime between the ages
of 10 and 17.
When you go through puberty, your body will change in many ways. You'll grow taller,
develop hips, become more curvy, and develop breasts.
You'll also grow hair in weird places. Like your armpits, legs and your pubic area. Some of your friends may develop before you do. And others may not grow at all until high school. Relax, they're all normal.
Puberty is also a time when your closet goes through a lot of changes. Huh? Well, because you experience what's called a growth spurt, you'll grow right out of your old stuff. And guess what that means? Shopping! New shoes! New pants! New shirts! And, oh yeah, your first bra!
